Battlefleet: Gothic was a set of rules published by Games Workshop in the late 90’s. It was spaceship combat set in the Warhammer: 40,000 universe. In many ways an answer to the more technical and naval oriented Starfleet Battles, BFG (as it is affectionately shorted by it’s players) is more abstracted and atmospheric.

And frankly just a hella lotta™ fun.

The game was discontinued in the mid-2010’s, but in the intervening years it has gained a very active and engaged community of players.
