I had done a lot of research before I dived in, and made a list of some of my requirements. I knew I wanted a simple car, so that meant older. It had to be easy to get parts, so it had to be popular in its day. It had to be small, because my garage isn't large and I knew I wouldn't have help. And I wanted something that was a little off the norm. Pony cars and 'vettes never really turned me on.

This led me to a couple of options. I considered an Studebaker Starlight Coupe, but decided against it because it was too big. I thought about Triumphs, but they were a little more expensive than I wanted to pay.

I had pretty firmly decided on an MGB. Seemed to fit all the requirements.

And then I found this MGA available on ebay. Fit all my requirements, at just a little over $3000. Perfect.
